CREAM CHEESE WONTONS RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • Dash Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp. soft bread crumbs
  • 1 (6 oz.) can crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 2 1/2 dozen Wonton wrappers
  • Oil
  • Sweet-n-sour sauce

First of all combine cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce in bowl; mix well. Stir in bread crumbs and crabmeat. And then place 1 heaping teaspoon of crabmeat in center of each Wonton. Moisten edges and fold in half diagonally. Press edges firmly.

Place crab puffs in hot oil heated to 375 degrees. Cook until golden brown; drain well. Serve with sweet-n-sour sauce. Enjoy the cream cheese wontons ! Nice !

CREAM CHEESE WONTONS RECIPE INGREDIENTS

* 1 quart oil for deep frying
* 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
* 1 (12 ounce) package imitation crabmeat
* 2 tablespoons soy sauce
* 2 teaspoons sesame oil
* 1 tablespoon minced garlic
* 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
* 1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
* 1 (14 ounce) package wonton wrappers
* 2 egg whites

CREAM CHEESE WONTONS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat oil in a large, heavy saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, imitation crabmeat, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and green onions.
3. Place approximately 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
4. Place egg whites in a small bowl. Using the fingers, spread egg white over two edges of the wonton wrappers. Fold into triangles and press to seal edges.
5. In small batches, deep fry the wontons until golden brown, 2 to 4 minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve warm...and enjoy the cream cheese wontons !

  • 28 wonton wrappers
  • 1 (9 oz.) can crab meat, drained
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 5-7 scallions, chopped fine
  • Oil for frying

Mix crab meat, cream cheese and scallions. Lay a wonton wrapper so the points are facing north, south, east and west. Place teaspoon of filling in middle of wonton. Fold north point to south. Seal edges with fingers dipped in water. Pull east and west points to north to shape. Fry in oil turning once until light golden brown. Drain on paper towel.

To reheat, place on racks on cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Serve with duck sauce or ginger soy sauce...enjoy the cream cheese wontons !

  • 6 oz. canned crab meat, finely chopped
  • 2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. tarragon
  • 40 wonton skins
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • Vegetable oil
CREAM CHEESE WONTONS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Mix chopped crab meat, cream cheese, salt, garlic powder and tarragon. Brush wonton skin with egg.

Place heaping teaspoonful of crab meat mixture in center of wonton skin. (Cover remaining skins with dampened towel to keep them pliable.) Top with another wonton skin; press edges to seal. Brush dab of egg on center of each side of puff. Make a pleat on each edge, pressing to seal. Repeat with remaining wonton skins. (Cover dumplings with dampened towel or plastic wrap to keep them from drying out.)

Heat vegetable oil in wok or deep frying pan to 350 degrees. Fry 4 to 5 dumplings at a time until golden brown, turning 2 or 3 times about 2 minutes. Drain on paper towel. Serve with plum sauce. Makes 20 appetizers.

  • 1 1/2 lbs. ready-made wonton wrappers
  • 3 c. peanut oil

FILLING:
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1-2 c. imitation crab, flaked

Mix cream cheese and crab together well. Assembling the "wonton": Place 1 1/2 teaspoons of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. With a finger dipped in water, moisten the edges of the wrapper. Then bring one corner up over the filling to the opposite corner, but fold the wrapper at an angle so that two overlapping triangles are formed, with their points side by side and about 1/2 inch apart.

Pull the 2 bottom corners of the folded triangle forward and below the folded edge so that they meet one another and slightly overlap, to create a kind of frame around the mound of the filling. Moisten one end with a finger dipped in water and pinch the two ends firmly together.

As each "wonton" is finished place it on a plate and cover with a dry towel. Cook in 12 inch wok or 10 inch skillet filled with 3 cups of peanut oil a 375 degrees. Deep fry for about 2 minutes or until crisp and golden. Drain on paper towel. The cream cheese wontons recipe is ready to serve warm....nice ! Enjoy !

Wontons:
* 30 wonton wrappers
* 30 cherries (sweet)

Wonton Filling: Mix the cream cheese with a the icing sugar in a bowl so that there is no lumps, Remove the stone from the centre of the cherries, try to keep them joined at the sides. Lay the wontons out on a clean surface, place a cherry in the center of each one and then place half a teaspoonful in the centre of each cherry where the stone was.
Dampen the sides of the wontons with water and gather together its corners giving it a small twist at so as to secure it.
To Cook: Heat some oil in a deep fryer, wok or large saucepan to 180C. When a wonton is placed in it, it should become crisp and golden and rise to the top. Cook the cherries in the oil 5 at a time for a couple of minutes, they should be crisp and golden, drain them on paper toweling and keep warm until ready to serve.
To Serve: Place generous spoonfuls of the ice cream in the center of 6 bowls and place the 5 wontons around the edge of each bowl. Dust the wontons with icing sugar and serve. The cherry wontons also make a brilliant sweet canapé. The cream cheese wontons recipe is ready ! Enjoy it with friends...
